Welcome to the Scott Mission, a place where programs, love and support are offered to the Greater Toronto community without judgment or discrimination. A place where shelter, food, childcare, employment advice and counseling services are provided to thousands of people every year in Toronto that need a helping hand.
Established in 1941, the Scott Mission is a non-denominational, faith-based street mission in downtown Toronto, responding to the needs of the poor and homeless in their community. Hollyburn Properties staff in Toronto were proud and humbled to be able to participate, for one day, in the goodwill that takes place here year-round.
Our team was able to join forces with the wonderful souls that run a tight ship in the charity kitchen, to prepare, cook and serve a meal to a lively group of nearly 100 people that were seeking the help of the Mission on that sunny day in August. It was an extremely enlightening experience to help lessen the burden of these kind folk, giving back in some small way with full hearts and a big smile.
